I think this must have to do with the termcap file. I have the file termcap and termio from the Versaterm disks in my unix account, but i don't know how to get the system to recognize that as the right termcap rather than /etc/termcap. I should point out that it is possible that i am not setting up the edt-emulation in emacs correctly (M-x edt). If someone out there knows of one of the comp.unix newsgroups that might be more well-equipped to answer this question, please cross-post. I am new to unix and news so i don't know all the ropes yet.
