Anbinder) Organization: Department of Media Services, Cornell University, Ithaca NY Lines: 27 Virtual, the virtual memory software from Connectix, is now available in a separate version for the Macintosh IIx. Since no additional hardware is needed, the software alone lists for $295. The reason Virtual didn't work with the IIx in the past is that the author used some of the PMMU calls available on the 68851 Paged Memory Management Unit that are NOT implemented in the PMMU that's part of the 68030 chip. The new version has just finished final testing and Connectix is all set to sell you a copy! Anyone who has questions about Virtual, for the IIx or the II, should feel free to contact me. If I don't know the answer, I'll be happy to call Jon Garber (the author) and find out. Connectix can be reached at 415-324-0727. I am not connected with Connectix except that I am an EXTREMELY happy customer. I LOVE having 8 megs of RAM to run MultiFinder in! :-) -- Mark H.
