They are caused by the MS-DOS's convention of using CR-LFs to separate lines, unlike Apple's convention of just CRs. You can select change CR-LF to just CR when within Apple File Exchange. It is on the menu labeled either: IBM<->Mac or Mac<->IBM...depending on which way you wish to transfer. Choose Text translation, and you'll get a dialog box along with a whole mess of other things you can do. Ken tempest@csuchico.EDU
