Message-ID: <74320AXS101@PSUVM> Date: 4 Mar 89 21:51:19 GMT References: <636@ndcheg.cheg.nd.edu> <7014@hodge.UUCP> Organization: Penn State University - Center for Academic Computing Lines: 17 well, i attempted to post a short note a week or so ago about this, but somehow it didn't show up, in it i had said how nice my cms's (two 60megs) have been t o me, running great for some time now (24hrs, 7days a week on a bbs). well, i s houldn't have said anything, i guess this is probably covered in murphy's laws. .. dont praise something, it'll break. well, one of the cms's has been acting b ad, and... while backing one up (copying files to the other, then back after re initializing it)... it died (well, kinda). the mac had a REALLY strange crash, it hung in the middle of copying (from the messed up disk), and then after thre e or so seconds the screen flashed white with garbage all over it, and then ano ther screwed up screen flashed up, and the speaker blared out some rather odd o dd sounds. this happened about three four times, three times it rebooted by its elf, i had to reboot it once. well, i gave up, got out the old cms utilities di sk, and reformatted and initialized it. i'm glad i still have older backups of the backup :) if i find any more problems, i'll post... but till then, hopefull y i'll be running strong on both drives.
