There's an INIT called backdrop that's PD/ShareWare (I think), which does just
that. It will either take the old format used for StartUpScreen's, or in Mac/
FullPaint format, and make it your standard background. It's available on
36.44.0.6 on info-mac/init(s?), and can be downloaded anonymously.
