Can anyone suggest any good games (commercial, shareware, pd - I don't care) which allow play on two machines connected via serial line/modem? I already have Falcon and Jet. Please specify the minimum memory/hardware requirements, as well as a short description of the game. To start this off: FALCON Company: Spectrum Holobyte (sp?). Price: $32 + shipping and handling ($3) from MacConnection. Minimum memory: 1MB. Minimum hardware: 512ke (w/ mem. expansion). Description: Very advanced simulation of an F16 fighter. Dogfight mode allows two players to shoot at each other. Works between two Macs, two IBM's, or a Mac and an IBM. Other features are too numerous to list. If you got the memory/hardware, buy it. JET Company: SubLogic. Price: $32 + shipping and handling ($3) from MacConnection. Minimum memory: 512k. Minimum hardware: 512 unenhanced. Description: Pilot an F16 or an F18 fighter against a variety of targets. Falcon is a much more complete game, but Jet does have some nice features which Falcon doesn't (ie. watch your missle hit its target via a camera mounted inside the missle, watch your plane from the control tower or from a spotter plane to name a few). Dogfight mode is similar to Falcon. User interface ported directly from the Apple II/IBM version of the game. Recommended mostly if the memory/hardware won't run Falcon. Still a pretty nice game, though. Thanks. -- -- -- | | --- ----- --- |\ | ---- ---- ----- | | | | | |___ | |___| | \ | | __ | __ | | | | |___| ____| | | | | \| |____| |____| | ...there is no substitute (except a ZR1 'vette!) John S.
