I would be interested to know if this problem reoccurs not
under Multifinder.  If it does not, then this is a possible
way around the problem if VD is critical to your usage.  I
don't know if this will help.  You may set up a boot disk, and
run VD off the boot disk not under multifinder if the problem
is specific to MF.
