I have texsun & texx (which are previewers for SunView and X).  These were
written by Chris Torek at the University of Maryland and Dirk Grunwald at
the University of Illinois (grunwald@m.cs.uiuc.edu).  These use PK, GF, or
PXL fonts.  I got them via anonymous ftp, but I forget where from.  You
might try asking around, or I could mail it to you if you want.
