I would like to know if anyone out there has done any benchmarking with the gcc-1.3[2-4] C compilers, and with what speed-ups, fixes, patchlevel, etc. Also, have there been any major problems imaking X using the various versions of the GNU compilers? For your information, my system is a Sun-3/280 running SunOS 3.5 with 68881 and fpa (floating point accel). We currently have X11R3 installed using the Sun C compiler. Thanks in advance. --Bill Morrison wbm@cod.nosc.mil
