Smith) Distribution: usa Organization: Purdue University Lines: 15 I can't get Kermit v2.31 (ms-dos) to recognize the internal modem on a Zenith supersport 286. From the modem documentation, this is the same modem as was used on the earlier Z-181 portable, so experiences with that machine might be relevant to my problem. It uses serial port 2, but kermit won't recognize it that way, i.e. with set port 2. Set port bios2 does better; at least show modem shows DSR on. But I can't CON and type ATZ or anything else to the modem. When I CON, I get a whole screen full of constantly paging garbage. I'd appreciate any ideas, pointers to relevant sections of documentation, or whatever. --Thanks. Eliot Smith, Dept. of Psychology, Purdue Univ. esmith@psych.purdue.edu OR esmith@purccvm.bitnet
