Subject: Need help with GNU Emacs under GCC

I have a uVAX I under V5-02 and just received GCC (GNU C) and
want to build GNU Emacs 18.52 with it. Since all the .COM files
that call C assume VMS-C I find using GCC to be difficult.

These are the things I have tried.

   1. Modified CCOM.COM and also tried using GCC.COM that
      came with the distribution of GCC.
   2. Tried to individually compile each source file with GCC
      I invariably get errors with message number 000000 etc.

If someone out ther has managed to get Emacs built with GnuC then I
would be grateful if they could send me the pointers or changes.
