The Half Time 3D trick used the PULFRICH efect, (look it up in the 
perceptual physiology textbooks). The relative motion from a satellite
makes nice stereopairs if the spacing is right. Years ago NASA made a 
stereo movie of mars from the Mariner orbiter that way.
