This was an e-mailed reply to the query about who uses Forth.  The e-mailer
failed to get the mail through (must be using Canada post).

Subject: We use Forth

IDACOM Electronics uses Forth in its protocol analyzers.  These are portable
communication test computers with 3 to 8 68000's in them that run all their
applications in Forth.  A Forth sits on each 68K and can communicate with any
other Forth in the box.  The user interface and application programs are all
written in Forth (with a sprinkling of assembler in the right places).  The
Forth is a 32-bit modified FIG-Forth.  The programs are anywhere from 300 Kbytes
to 700 Kbytes.  These protocol testers provide a window into a communication
system that may be running X25, X75, SNA/SDLC, BYSYNC, ASYNC, ISDN or any
communication protocol.  It allows emulation and verification of protocols.
We also have an embedded system that utilizes the Harris Forth chip and it
screams!
