Keywords: joystick ports, i/o, bricks, money Message-ID: <982@cs.rit.edu> Date: 12 Mar 89 00:08:49 GMT Sender: news@cs.rit.edu Reply-To: dgr0093%ritcv@cs.rit.edu (Michelangelo Jones) Followup-To: comp.lang.pascal Organization: Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY Lines: 13 I have to read a value off of my joystick port for a project I'm doing on my PC. However, the only way I know to read it is to use the BASIC "stick" command. I'd like to avoid that, however, as the overhead would be formidable. I have Turbo C and Turbo Assembler, as well as TP, so if the solution is in either of those languages I should be able to link it in without too much trouble. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. On a secondary note, how much does a posting actually cost the net? I know this has absolutely nothing to do with Pascal, but I'm getting curious. Thanks in advance.. Michelangelo Jones.
