     Many thanks to all the people who replied to my Vector postings.
I strongly suspect that the pins are what is causing the problem, and
will bum a nullmodem off a friend of mine in a few hours here. I also
have access to an IBM PC and may try hooking my vector to it if this
problem persists. Thanks again.
