I have been looking around for a version of UNIX for my XT clone. It seems that my choices are for the most part expensive, and that they need hardware which I cannot afford (a 286 or 386 and lots of memory). And then I stumbled across this newsgroup, and this amazing thing called minix. What is it?!?!?? I have figured out that it is looks and feels like UNIX, and that it cheap. My question is, does it have all of the little things in UNIX that I have come to know and love? Like sed,awk and vi? (I am particularly interested in text processing tools) Nroff, tr and so on and so forth? In short, I could not find a description of what this minix is anywhere. I would really love to see one. Please either mail me at jjake@reed.BITNET or post the description, as I am sure other people are also curious. Thank you!, Jacob Sisk (jjake@reed.BITNET)
