I know about subnet mask query and reply, and the Blacker Front End document lists code 10 (Administratively Prohibited) as a new code for Destination Unreachable. What should an implementation do with new codes? 4.3bsd, for example, rejects ICMP messages with unknown codes, rather than passing some error indication up to the application. --Steve Bellovin smb@ulysses.att.com
