Standard A2000 with external floppy.  1024 monitor.  1mg.


Somehow the wait pointer (little cloud with zzzzz's) was
changed from white to ALL BLACK.  I can not turn it back.


I have used the pref. color menu and completely eliminated
black as a color and then have done the same with the pointer
color select.   STILL have a black hole busy pointer.

Rebooted (COLD - shut down, pull the plug type) using the original
wookbench disk (write protected). 

STILL black busy pointer.


SOME suggested a virus.


1) HAS anyone reported anything like this before?


2) HELP!  I've used several virus programs with no success.


3) Information on the busy pointer.  PLEASE.


4) Do I have a potential hardware problem?


5) Am I overlooking something extremely simple?
