Hmmm.  None of these problems sounds familiar.  I use SoundScape
and the sequence editor extensively without a hitch.  My version claims
its 1.4.

I know the Copy and Use commands work without ever hanging.  I
don't think I have tried "Move."  Come to think of it I don't even
remember a "Move" button, but maybe I just never paid close
attention.
