(req for info) Keywords: campus labs instruction Message-ID: <1457@csuf3b.UUCP> Date: 16 Mar 89 00:58:14 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Calif. State Univ., Fresno, Ca Lines: 32 Fellow Amigae; Our campus is in the planning/formulation stage of establishing several (well at least 3) open-use computer graphics labs. The aim of our project is to create labs which provide support for a wide range of computer based graphics activities such as computer and video art, CAD, DTP, graphic design, etc. Our committee, of which I'm a member, has been looking at all sorts of hardware software options (MacII's, Suns, etc.) but has pretty much *ignored* Amigas. (Probably because none exist on campus :-() I already know what Amigas can offer (I own 3!) and I could provide the committee with tons of my own Amiga enthusiasm. BUT what would really be of more value to the committee would be examples of what *other* campuses are doing with them. So, please, if your campus is using Amigas in instructional applications and/or computer labs, please email me a *BRIEF* description of what you're doing. If possible, please include a name and telephone number of a good contact person at your site - in case I have further questions. Thanks... --- Eric Keisler erick@csuf3b.CSUFresno.EDU BITNET: 1GTLEOK@CIPINS.FRESNO.CALSTATE.EDU Systems Software Specialist Computer Services, CSU Fresno (209)294-3923
