Rather than posting incorrect info, I chose not to include them. Check out the A+ article [I'm pretty sure it was Nov '88,]) Reliability ======= The Central Point drive is not reliable on the GS. The controller card does not perfectly emulate Apple's drivers; as a consequence, many commercial software products will NOT boot. This may have changed (Central Point Software updates the roms sometimes), but it is recommended that you test the drives with your favorite software. The Apple brand drives should have no problems (other than a slightly slower speed for the Unidisk on a GS). The new Applied Engineering drive should be interesting - plugs directly into the GS (should be 100% compatible) and retails for at least $100 less than the Apple 3.5 drive. DO NOT BUY ONE UNTIL YOU HAVE TESTED YOUR SOFTWARE ON IT!!! Try saying "Apple 3.5 drive" Doesn't it sound funny.....? - seth tHe mAd ScienTisT, and other carnations.
