I found a 'man' page about 'compress' on a Unix system, and did it there. UNFORTUNATELY... The program you posted, Ken, turns out to be an IBM-PC program to read ATARI disks, NOT the other way around as I took your SUBJ: line to mean. Therefore, I explicitly pose the converse question: does there exist a program to let an Atari with true double density (say, the US Doubler chip in a 1050 drive) read IBM-PC disks? That was what I thought the promised program purported to do, and only found out the opposite after going through quite a bit of work to extract it... (And, beyond that, are you sure the program is meant for 5 1/4" rather than 3 1/2" floppies? I'll be explicit, again, and add to my above question the qualification that by "...IBM PC disks on the Atari..." I mean 5 1/4" floppies.) Sigh...
