I have both boards, but I have never heard of an Adaptek 4000. I'm sure one exists, perhaps it was an earlier version of the 4000a?? Both the 4000a and the 4070 work reliably with the ICD Host Adapter. They also work fine with the ICD MIO board for the 8-bit (for anyone who might be interested)..
