Since Mac's StartUpScreen causes a crash, he says to use a program called BACKDROP. From LISTSERV@RICE, I was able to download a file called BACKDROP which included a set of instructions. In it, we are told to create a SCREENS folder and to place that, along with a StartUpScreen file, into the System Folder. By placing several StartUpScreens within the Screens folder, we can have random startup pictures, ala SuperBoot! However, I'm not having any luck. I get a garbaged picture for the startup picture. Has anyone else running Spectre experienced this and managed to massage a fix? Many thanks! Larry Rymal
