In the version of dLibs I have (1.2), fopen() and fdopen() contain
calls to fputs() with the arguments reversed. This can only happen
if they're passed an illegal argument string, which isn't likely,
but if it happens a crash would result.

(No, I didn't find this out the hard way... :-)
