At boot time, the 3100 recognizes the drive as an RZ55. I used the rzdisk program to format the drive using the vendor defects and the default parameters from the disk drive. I am able to put a file system on, but I get strange behavior when I access the drive. When I copy a directory of files (/usr/ucb) on the drive to a different name on the same drive then do a diff -r. Some of the files have errors. ex. the 128 block on dbx is in error in the copy. I think the problem has something to do with the disk drive parameters, but I am not sure. Can anyone help me? -Joe Othmer att!vax135!jo (201)-949-6975 -- Joe Othmer AT&T Bell Labs, Holmdel, NJ 07733 Rm. 4E-511, (201) 949-26975 vax135!jo
