Annexes may be run as 'slave' ports of a MultiMax, but that requires having support for the proprietary Multimax <-> Annex communication protocol.  The best you can probably do is to run release 4.0 of the Annex sofware and set the ports to perform an automatic telnet to your Gould machine.
