The Annex-Multimax distributed tty driver protocol isn't needed to make
a UNIX host "see" the Annex ports as its own ports. In Annex-UX 4.0,
there's a utility called "rtelnet", which connects a pty on the host to
a specified port on a specified Annex.

Try it -- I bet you like it.
