I have seen ads for a "Video Charley" for the IBM-PC -- it is a 
genlock board that attaches to the feature connector of the
EGA card and allows keys/supers/dissolves/titles.

Has anyone used this? I'd appreciate any info you might have.
It says additional software is required for  EGA high res
mode. How do you control the board? THere is a serial port on the
adapter board. WHat it is used for?
