Please correct me if I am wrong, but can't you do this for fast writes:

1) Write the characters to page 2
2) Switch to page 2 for viewing
3) Write the characters to page 1
4) Go back to page 1 for viewing

Can you do this, or am I thinking of Apple ]['s ?
