First, a thank you to George for his time and effort. I've found this very educational reading (no, I won't be writing any viruses: I've got better ways to waste my time). However, it would be nice if some well-informed soul would write a Chapter Four for the PC world and post it. I would like to see a run down of pc viruses, their symptoms, vectors, detection and elimination methods, etc. The only virus stomping I've done has been in the Mac world and I'd rather not take my lessons at the school of hard knocks. This is not a plea for basic information: I'm already aware of things like flu_shot and dprotect: I'd just like a better understanding of what we're up against rather than blindly relying on protection tools and proceedures.
