Message-ID: <9471@orstcs.CS.ORST.EDU> Date: 16 Mar 89 21:03:18 GMT References: <409@odin.cs.hw.ac.uk> Sender: usenet@orstcs.CS.ORST.EDU Reply-To: nacer@mist.UUCP (Abdenacer Moussaoui C.) Organization: Oregon State University - CS - Corvallis, Oregon Lines: 26 I am using ventura 1.1 and I would like if someone can help answer these two questions: 1- If I insert two documents within the same chapter, VP starts numbering the tag names I have specified from 1 again when it flows the second document into the successive frames. Should I have two chapters and paste the Chapter# into the auto-numbering? I really do not have chapters I am writing a paper but the original document in MS-Word format grew to 50K so I thought I would split it in half to reduce VP from hanging once in a while? 2- How should I go about including screen dumps into VP? I have tried to include some dBase code into VP but it mistakes the lines @ ROW(), COL() SAY 'BLA BLA BLA...' as being taged because of the @ sign. This is after I have loaded the dbase code text file into word and saved it so VP treats line as paragraphs. If I loaded it as straight ascii files it expects to see a blank line in order to cause a paragraph break. Any suggestions? What if the text files have graphic characters (ascii > 128) does any of the VP fonts supports these graphic characters? Thank you for your help. --nacer nacer@mist.cs.orst.edu BTW: which group is most appropriate for posting these questions?
