Pk., MD 20742 Lines: 11 Instead of drilling a hole in the 720 k disk to convert it to a 1.44 meg disk, poke a hole with a soldiering iron. The ad for the $25 `tool' talks about plastic chips ruining the disk, and i believe it. The soldiering iron makes a stink, but doesn't leave any chips floating around the disk. After poking the hole (it doesn't need to be very deep), i cut off the ridge around the hole with a chisel. -- Jack Velte @ University of MD domain: velte@mimsy.umd.edu path: seismo!mimsy!velte
