Message-ID: <404@focsys.UUCP> Date: 20 Mar 89 19:03:18 GMT Reply-To: larry@focsys.UUCP (Larry Williamson) Organization: Focus Automation Systems, Waterloo, Ontario. Lines: 18 We have an application were the overall machine efficiency can be greatly enhanced if some temp files are left on a ram disk. We don't want to have to ask the unsophisticated user whether there is a ram disk, and what drive it is. We also have little to no control over the setup of their systems. Is there anyway we can determine if there is a ram disk mounted and what drive letter it is? We've tried using dos interrupt 1C, but the drive information returned does not distinguish a ram drive from a hard drive. Any other suggestions? -Larry -- Larry Williamson -- Focus Systems -- Waterloo, Ontario watmath!focsys!larry (519) 746-4918
