It does that automatically. Now, I almost forget when was -- And you're proud of this?? It seems to me this would just aggravate the problem folks are having getting on to SIMTEL. This network equivalent of demon-dialing doesn't seem like an answer. I have another suggestion. Every 2 weeks or so I run a batch file from our mainframe, set up to run at about 1:30 A.M., requesting the latest files I want from SIMTEL. If it doesn't get everything, I run it the next night. Works like a charm, runs when network traffic is light, and keeps from tying up the SIMTEL FTP ports for every piddly file request. It's also cheaper as our system time is less expensive at night, and I don't have to babysit the process. A sane alternative to demon-dialing. _______________________________________________________________________________ Jim Goes | InterNet GOES@OREGON.UOREGON.EDU Graduate School of Management | UUCP: {fav backbone}!uoregon!oregon!goes University of Oregon | MaBell: (503) 686-3309 ________________________________________________________________________________ Grad School.
