I prefer to just hold down the command key, so that I don't have to reset the startup default. The warning that appears when you remove a DA under Multifinder does NOT suggest anything drastic. Anyway, that does not explain why the problem recurred after I re-installed the System. I never said that it is incompatible with Suitcase.
