Stuffit is used to compress files for UL and DL. To convert it, you need the program, which can be found on most all mac boards (it also includes a BinHex4.0 function). However, your description of the file makes it sound like it should be a .pit file (PackIt) another type of compressions program (StuffIt will Un-Pack files). If it says .sit, yet appears as a generic document, the file may have been corrupted during transfer, so you may want to check into this possibility as well. Hope this helps. Geoff.
