How do I change the Type and Creator of a file? For example, suppose I've got a file whose Type is "TEXT" and whose Creator is "????", but which is actually a correct instance of a file supported by a specific application - one way to generate such a file is to download a binary via Pacerlink. How do I set the Type and Creator of the file to match what is normally used for the application, thereby getting the appropriate icon to be displayed by Finder? Loading the file into the application and saving into the same or a new file works (Type and Creator get set) but is rather time consuming and a bit cruder than I would expect for the Macintosh.
