Hence the recent price cuts. Why not just skip the wimpy II -> IIx upgrade (you only get a 10-15% speedup, and no, the PMMU is not currently used at all by MacOS, only AU/X) and go for a 3rd party 33MHz 68030 upgrade. It'll probably cost you less and you'll blow away anything Apple now offers.
