No way it would be under $1000. Look at how much the Next ended up costing. c) this box would blow away the rest of IBM's product line, and establish Mac as the dominant standard. It wouldn't be an Apple killer, but a PS/2 killer. Don't think IBM or Microsoft would be keen on that.
