How about a Hypercard stack with references linked from here to next Wednesday. You know, where you are reading a card that has the description of a record type, and you can click on a field and it takes you to the card containing the type definiton of that field. There would be a "gotcha" card which would be the starting point for a thread of links to all the caveats that are sprinkled throughout IM. You get the idea.
