I'm about to order $865 worth of repeater from Cabletron to repair this sad condition. Has any brilliant or lucky soul found a better way?? I hasten to add that any scheme which simply splices the two sizes of cable together will be rejected out of hand. The other (minor) problem is to figure out which other vendors' toner cartridges are usable in the laser printer. I suspect that some are compatible but I worry about doing some harm in carrying out the obvious tests. Who has been more brave than I?
