I just recently recompiled my xdm client, and it now longer works.
When I start it up:
  X Toolkit Error: Couldn't find per display information
keeps getting written to xdm-errors, and I never get a login 
widget.  The last time I compiled it, I had patches 1-4 installed.
Now I have patches 1-9 and purdue rel2.1 speedups installed.

I've recompiled the entire distribution.  Nothing seems to help.

I'm on a monochrome SUN 2, running SunOs 3.4.  Xdm is being run
by xdmshell.
