UWM seems to make excessive use of the network at certain times.  When
I start up a client and the window manager turns the mouse cursor into
a positioning corner there is a continuous stream of communication
between my server and UWM.  What's going on during this time?  Why
can't it just grab the cursor, change its shape, then wait for a
button click?
