Vax fortran allows a fortran line to continue to the next line if you TAB in 1 tab stop, then put a digit (1 - 9) after the tab. I have been trying to do this in GNU emacs Fortran mode. Toggling FORTRAN-ELECTRIC-LINE-NUMBER produces an error (something like "integerp ...") when set to NIL and then using TAB followed by a "1". Is there some way in GNU fortran mode that I can TAB in, type a "1" and have it not get yanked back as a statement number? This is very annoying, as I would prefer not to use "$" for continuations. I am using GNU emacs 18.52 on a VAX 3600. Thanks for any help. Regards, Ric Steinberger ric@rml2.sri.com ------- -------
