I have two things that I would love to see, but don't know where to start. 1. when i am in newsgroup selection mode, an l patt is supposed to show me all newsgroups which match that pattern, broken into read and unread groups. What REALLY happens is that I type "l app" and I get this message: Completely unsubscribed newsgroups: cat: cannot open /usr/lib/news/active: No such file or directory [Type return to continue] Unsubscribed but mentioned in .newsrc: How should newsgroups be modified to process this file? Note that I tried making a modification to the program to a) rcp the active file from my nntp server and b) find the filexp command on my local machine. The errors go away but I don't get any output either. 2. The bigger problem is that I am looking for some way to modify rrn so that I dont have to quit leaving the program and starting it back up. I would like to be able to have the program running all day and just go and read in it off and on. I have no problems with this being as simple as a command to close off the nntp connection until I perform some other normal rn function and that triggering a new reopen. But I have a feeling that there would be a lot of other things that would get out of sync just making this simple change. -- Larry W.
