All of the clients of this beast are IBM Model 50s at the moment, but I plan to expand to the hodge-podge of machines in another office soon. Here's my dilemma: I have an Everex streaming tape backup system which I would like to install in the server box in order to backup that huge disk. The software that came with the streaming tape system runs under DOS, not NOS and so is very useless (can't read the Novell Compsurf'ed disk). I realize that these may not be the best hardware solutions available, but they're what I've got to work with. Any ideas of software that would allow Novell NOS to recognize the tape system in its server & backup the server system disk? Anyone else have this sort of problem? Or, if the hardware that I have is totally useless in my server, any recommendations of resonable hardware/software for backup on Novell servers?
