We have recently made the decision to install a Novell Network where I work and I was wondering if anybody out there could answer a printer configuration problem. We are going to be running Novell 2.15 on a PS/2 Model 80. The work stations will consist of IBM PCs and Mac SEs. My problem is how can I configure the printers. Must they be hung of the server or can they be hung off of the workstations. If they can be hung off the workstations, can they be accesed by anyone on the network or can they be accesed only by the workstation to which they are attached. Can both Proprinters and Imagewriters be hung off the network? Can they be accesed by any workstation? (i.e. Can a PC access an imagewriter and can an SE access a proprinter). Will this access be transparent to the user? Any and all help would be appreciated. You can reply by E-mail to porres@andromeda.rutgers.edu or porres@draco.rutgers.edu.
