    Two VMS-GNU emacs questions:

        1) can someone outline the usage and  format  of  the  EMACSLOADPATH
  logical  name?  i.  e.  -   how   would   I   translate   something   like


        SYS$USER:[templon.util.emacs]

        into a valid EMACSLOADPATH logical? The manual says this has  to  be
  in unix format with /'s.


        2) where do i put and what do i call the .emacs file? i  put one  in
  my home (root) directory and it does not seem to  get  executed  by  emacs
  upon startup.
