Both of these programs seem to run for awhile without problems when suddenly and without warning, a single click of the mouse button causes our Commodore PC-10 to do a cold boot. Logitech's telephone support amounted to no more than a walk-through of the manual's installation instructions, a pronouncement that there is no problem with their software, and that we must therefore have a hardware problem. Well..... perhaps, but this PC clone seems to be otherwise functioning perfectly. Logitech's "Point" editor and menu software works well, as do other mouse-based applications we have tried. This software is the first we have encountered that causes the machine to choke; perhaps it relies on some arcane trick of the PC BIOS that Phoenix missed. The hand scanner produces images of remarkable quality, but is quite useless unless we can get the software to work reliably. Any reports of similar problems with this hardware/software combo and possible solutions would be appreciated.
